In addition to Bulgarian, Dutch, French, Italian, and Slovakian, readers have already volunteered for these languages: Portuguese (Portugal and Brazilian), Spanish, Russian, Czech, Swedish, Tagalog, Croatian, Japanese, Romanian, Danish, German, simplified & tradisional Chinese, Croatian, Indonesian, Hungarian, and Polish. Are there any other languages where you can help translate it?
My goal is to make this the most widely available document on SEO across every language possible. For each language it gets translated into, I will donate $50 to Amnesty International. The first translation in each language will also be referenced from the original guide, which has a lot of traffic and link equity.
I will try and do a Welsh translation, some argue the oldest language that is still spoken!
I am going home back to Sunny Wales this weekend to hopefully watch Wales win the Grand Slam against France in rugby and will ask my family to chip in as my Welsh isn't too hot! Hopefully I can throw in a celtic twist.
So far that makes Portuguese (Portugal and Brazilian), Spanish, Bulgarian, Russian, Czech, French, Swedish, Tagalog, Croatian, Japanese, Romanian, Danish, German, simplified & tradisional Chinese, Italian, Croatian, Indonesian, Hungarian, Polish, Hebrew, Welsh, Arabic, Turkish, and Afrikaans.
Bulgarian, Dutch, French, Italian, Slovak, and Pig Latin are already published.
I got the Dutch bloggers guide translated accurately and completely now, but now my server is down :( I'll let you know as soon as I am up again. My hoster is probably going to do an all-nighter on this one.. being down ain't no fun :(
The pig latin version is funny though. True blast from the past!
LOL Aaron. Yeah, Linguistics is an interesting science to study. It answers many questions about languages and how humans speak. I would like to major in Linguistics, but that is not possible in my place. I must go to the States or Europe to do that.
I'm not a professional web designer, but I managed to make that theme look good.
btw, I have added different versions for Microsoft Word 97,2003 & 2007. I've also added a web page version for those who haven't got Microsoft office installed.
Linking to us please use this alt attribute / linktext: "Suchmaschinenoptimierung für Blogs"
We placed links to the other "official" translations. So translators please do link back, too. If there are new translations available, we will add them.
Carsten
PS: Links in the german version are missing at the moment. We have to work on that as not every Link is usefull for german readers. Should be fixed soon.
Hi Aaron, sorry but i couldn't find anything better than this.
After i finished Indonesian version of The Blogger's Guide to SEO, i soon realized that i don't have an SEO blog. So i bought a domain and host a simple wordpress blog on it containing the translated article.
My initial idea was, i will leave the blog to be a single post blog, and linked all translation versions and the original article onboard. But if good inspiring things come, i will continue to blog about SEO in Indonesian Language and try to find opportunity to grow the blog. That way, perhaps i can spread more SEO goodness in my country.
the Romanian translation is done, it will be on www.razvanalexa.ro the domain is not active cause the registrar takes 3 days to confirm. what can i tell ya, we are still getting there :)
i'll let you know when the site is up
also, is there an email i could write you at ?
Hi Lemon2x
Please ping me when the domain is live. :)
I tend to be quite bad at email now (just changed business model and am trying to spend more time in the community forums) but mysitename @ gmail .com is the email address I use.
Hi, Aaron, sorry to bother about this, but I was the guy who took the spanish translation first and you said that it will be ok if I get it done by the end of March and I see there are many others still missing. I got the site ready and the translation, it will be online very soon, but I see you already linked someone else. So, Do you think I should stop my new site and re-make my content? or it will be the same case as the 2 Dutch versions?
The alt text should be "Link para a versão em Português".
I am testing a single version for Portugal and Brazil and am asking people to comment if they are comfortable with that. If not, I'll make the necessary changes.
Arabic, Bulgarian, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Dutch, French, German, Indonisian, Italian, Polish, Portugese, Romanian, Slovakian, Spanish, and Pig Latin are already published.
Which leaves us with Russian, Swedish, Tagalog, Croatian, Japanese, Danish, Hungarian, Hebrew, Welsh, Turkish, and any other language we have not listed yet.
The links on the latter half of your guide will be updated soon. I just wanted to get it done by the end of this month even though it is not perfect yet.
So - We have finished the Danish Translation of a Bloggers Guide to SEO.
I have posted it here: En Bloggers Guide til SEO
If the Swedish translation will not be done, please ping me - we will make it as well, if no one else is already next in line.
Looking forward to see our Danish flag with the others :)
Aaron - this was such a cool idea, I just wish I had heard about your site a month ago!!
Anyway, I'm a new SEO-er, and an avid reader of your blog, so now I won't miss any other ideas like this in the future :-)
