Why re-invent the wheel when you can purchase an already successful project?

If most tv shows tank, what if you could buy a successful TVshow - and just sit back and reap the rewards without all the effort?

Similar to creating the next youtube - Google tried that and bailed on the project - and just went ahead and bought youtube!

If you're cash rich like Google (esp with the license to print money, so to speak, such as adwords) this makes much more tactical sense.
