Wow! All I can say is wow... is that for real?

No way... I can't feel but that they hammed that up - I mean I'm sure to a degree that subliminal advertising has influence, but surely not to that effect.

I don't disagree that subliminal advertising works, but it doesn't work like that. It is not 100%, nor is it so predictable. Magicians love to use that method to do mind reading tricks all the time on TV. What you didn't see was the other 35 takes where they took two advertising guys in the room and they made a completely different campaign.

Even hypnosis by a trained hypnotist, where he is giving specific instructions, will only be effective on a percentage of people and only when they are receptive to the message.

Yes it is. And this one is much more impressive:

I've seen him do this trick with a big group of people in another show, it really, really works.

So come on then Aaron, how do I use this to make people click on my Adsense? :-)

This guy Frank is off of his rocking chair! I don't understand why you like him so much.

Maybe I am off my rocking chair too then :)

Derren Brown rocks (or at least did but the last series wasn't so good). His live show is frightening, my wife and I sat most of the time hoping not to be called up on stage ;)

Just don't take everything in videos such as that as gospel, when you think you know what he is doing is exactly the time he is doing something else. He explains more in his book and dvd commentaries but basically it's never what it seems. His explanations are part of the theater.
