Check out how old competing businesses are.
Evaluate the competitive nature of a marketplace.
Research the backlinks to a competing business to see whch links are their most powerful.
Do a site level search on a site to see which pages are most frequently cached, and to check the general health of a site.
What are your favorite ways to use SEO for Firefox? What other features should be added to it?
I'm getting this error too, but only on my XP machines. I do not get it on my Mac. I think we all know what kind of machine Aaron uses now... Maybe not... But all my XP machines have this problem. Even my Virtual PC on my Mac.
I get also get the error "internal error: url.replace is not a function" when doing a search on Google and Yahoo. If anyone has a fix then please post it here as I am keen to use this tool!

Every Google search and return to the Google search results page with the back button produces the following error box for me on my XP desktop and XP laptop, both with SP2 and all updates:
Internal Error: url.replace is not a function
anyone have a fix?

SEO for Firefox is certainly very useful along with SEOBOOK, etc...but unfortunately I am now experiencing the error "url.replace is not a function". Possible addon conflict with MacAfee Site Advisor noted (thanks "Robert on"), but prefer not to disable that tool.
Aaron and authority users, please kindly provide solution suggestions as available for both XP and VISTA. Any information provided is sincerely appreciated. Regards to all..
I get the same error message: "url.replace is not a function" on my desktop and laptop every time I do a google search in Firefox. Obviously I'm not the only one with this problem. I think the problem started when I upgraded SEO for Firefox but wouldn't swear to it. Does anyone have a cure?

same error:
url.replace is not a function
where can I go to get a fix or patch or something for this. I was ready to blame it on vista, but it seems a lot of XP machines have it too. Any ideas?

As a suggestion, I've noticed that it shows backward links for the main domain, not the page itself. This is an excellent tool, keep improving.

Hi all,
I had the same error "url.replace is not a function" but i solved the issue.
The error came from seo when used together with the Mcaffee siteadvisor addon.
When i disable the mcaffee siteadvisor addon , the seo for firefox works with no error.
hope this helps.

yeah, tried that and no joy. Is there anything else that was disabled as well? When i disabled it, I just clicked on the button in th lower right corner, clicked disable, and that's it. Is there something else I must do as well?
Aaron,
Thank you very much and it works well when i do normal searches on SEs. But I get this error message
"Internal Error : result.childNodes[0].childNodes[0] has no properties"
When i do back links check on yahoo site explorer.

"Updated version isn't working for me, Aaron. I get a "url.replace is not a valid internal function" error and no data returned."
My favorite is using InformEnter and Zotero for submitting to directories. Also the SearchStatus extension is a given for anyone in the web business.
If you are comparing site designs then Viamatic Foxpose is a good one.

Updated version isn't working for me, Aaron. I get a "url.replace is not a valid internal function" error and no data returned.
As far as features or changes go I notice a lot of innacuracies in the data it provides, for example the amount of DMOZ links is usually grossly inflated - that would be good to fix. One cool additional feature you could consider would be to show the header response of the page.

Could be very interesting to realize a dump of this data into a txt file with TAB separation.
I use Zotero to track and manage where I submitted. If needed I can parse the Zotero information for analysis or other means. See my blog and do a search for informenter and zotero. My name is linked to the blog
This is definitely a great tool to have at your disposal. I have tried it myself in the past but I've lost interest in it recently. But with this new update, I will give it another go.
The data provided by this tool makes it useless. I had over 10k DMOZ entries, over 35k delicious bookmarks, over 300k .edu bookmarks, etc. if this was true, Google would ban me and my first three children plus 100 yrs, and i would be slapped so hard, my cousins would feel it.
why provide this tool when it gives insanely data that makes it useless?
If I had to guess you are probably getting data as though you are Google.com because you are not running the most recent version of the tool and they updated their search results.
Also worth noting that if you are logged into a Google account you might be getting experimental search results, and logging out of your Google account may fix that.
I think your rude attitude was slightly assholish, BTW. No need to sound like an asshole when asking for free support for a great free tool that cost thousands of dollars to create.
