More Niche SEO Conferences

Recently, in addition to the expansion of Elite Retreat, a couple more smaller niche SEO conferences have been announced. These conferences offer a great value because they allow you to be close to the facilitator. They are like buying under-priced consulting in the form of a conference.

If you are on the other side of the pond you won't want to miss DaveN's SEO Days. In London on the 20th & 21st of March the SEO Days team is holding a hands on two day conference costing £1750 (incl. VAT) per person.

If you are in the New York area check out SEO Class. Stuntdubl, GoodROI, Rae, and Shoemoney are offering a free class for nonprofits on March 23, 2007. On May 27th & 28th they are holding a two day course for businesses. The cost to attend is $2999.

As noted by Lee Odden, with SEO conferences small is the new big. These conferences have already been added to the calendar.

Yeah we had the same discussion here at our agency in Manchester.

£1750 is far too much money, when you are going to send at least 2 people on the course.

Matt, did you ask for a discount of more than 1 ?, it's always worth a shot.

and agree with simon it is more expensive in london the Manchester one if it goes ahead will be cheaper I think

Hi Dave,

I didn't think that bulk discount meant just 2. I'll see if I can swing it with the management.

It would be excellent if you did a Manchester one. There would be plenty of interest in it up north thats for sure.

I'm really impressed by the Keyword suggestion tool here but when I downloaded it and execute it locally it doesn't have the Wordtracker and KeywordDiscovery columns. DP and NB are there instead. Is this an old version? Will the source for the other version be available?

Thanks for making all tools available and for writing some of the more interesting blogposts on the internet.

Hi Aaron,

Don't forget SearchFest 2007 here in Portland, Oregon! It's taking place this Wednesday, March 7. It's being put on by SEMpdx. For a "small" conference they sure did lure a good deal of big names in the world of SEO (Stoney deGeyter, Eric Facas, Scott Fish, Rand Fishkin & Heather Lloyd-Martin just to name a few).

Hope posting a link to SEMpdx is OK with you Aaron - details on SearchFest can be found on SEMpdx's site:

I actually just participated in an SEO conference in Seattle. It was based on the concept of having participants create their own presentations and then have discussions follow the presentations. There was some really interesting material presented. Does anyone know of any more conferences like this coming up?

Looks like Jeremy will be busy, do you plan to do anything apart from Elite-Retreat Aaron?

I would like to inquire if theres any future event to consider for SEO Conference for Asia Continent particular on HongKong location?

I was looking at the SEO Days conference in London. GBP 1750 is a hefty price tag for a 2 day conference. It's not an issue for the rather large agencies or corporates, but to a small (but beautifully formed!) agency like ours, it's too much to risk on a startup venture.
Being in London is a pain in the butt as well, which adds a fair amount to the cost.
