Beware of 1P.com: Traffic Power now 1P.com

SEO Consultants reports that they believe Traffic Power has purchased the rights to and is now using 1P.com...Just in case you are wonder who Traffic Power is, here is a prior post titled Traffic Power & Cold Call SEO.

The original Traffic Power brand has a good bit of tarnish to it...I was wondering when they would adopt a new name.

Man I'm digging all these posts, I just got off the phone with 1Pee; second time they have called me and all of their sales reps are so clueless. It's like something out of the "Boiler Room".

First guy I talked to Mario told me he had only been with 1Pee for a week and today would be his last day, he had no clue what he was talking about and I had to help tell him what he was trying to sell me. Told him his pitch was bad and he had no clue.

Mario transferred me to Cory who was a little better and tried to give me some examples of all their clients. (You know the type, small business with low competition and lots of un-searched keywords) something about lock smiths. It was quite funny so I thought I would play along; couldn't help but laugh.

Like all the others they found one of my unused crappy USL (still doing the free hosting thing just sitting there). He said "WOW you sound interested, Right?" then with a "Reco" he transferred me to Charles for the close.

Now Charles has been with 1Pee for 4 years (so he must know what he is talking about. Right?) He keeps telling me they have 18,000 satisfied clients and that I should by too. He shows me the same example of the lock smith client and says he's "numer uno". Tells me the special offer for the day is $3,000 (isn't that the price every day) and assures me the price changes everyday and today is the best time to buy.

I say OK, I think I have a deal for you. Here is where I give him the stats on the industry and the potential for major "Bling" if 1pee signs up as my affiliate and markets my website for free. I mean let's think about this Charles, if your as good as you say you are and we use your system of generic templates to build a 20pg keyword site that gets spidered a million times a month and is networked with your other 18,000 sites you can make way more off of me than $3,000 a year. I'm talking several thousand a month in commission, that's like cold calling and signing up a lot of people. So would not your boss be happy? Less people to satisfy and a lot mere money, Were business men, Right?

I say, "Let me talk to your manager? I'll ask him about this great offer" Charles says, "Well he is real busy, and I don't think he would be interested". Not interested in several thousand in commission to 1Pee every month? Charles says, "No that they just want my $3,000 for the year and I can keep all the rest." What business are you in? I would think the business of making money, judging from all the small businesses that you have taken advantage of. But when I offer you a lot more opportunity you don't want a piece of the pie? Man, 1Pee has got to be the dumbest group of smart people I have ever met.

In the end I tell him I would be willing to entertain some sort of affiliate package to help them out. Frustrated from not having me pull out the CC and read him the numbers he starts to get mad. He can't understand why I wont buy for $3,000 and I can't under stand why the don't want to make a boat load of money in commission by just doing what they say they can do; he tells me NO! Doesn't want to talk to his manager and finishes with saying, "I don't mind, even if it means burning a few bridges" I say good cause this ones been smoldering for a while and hang up the phone on him. It was so fun, and I can't help but think of the amount of helpless small businesses I saved by taking up there time.

Anyways, you all seem like great guys and I love to hate 1Pee so I hope to hear more. Keep me posted on the progress.

Also I'm Looking for people interested in some marketing opportunities for several business ideas I have. Either as Partners or affiliates and this seems like a good place to do the fishing. Any body interested feel free to get a hold of me.

Thanks Guys for the great laugh on 1Pee.

Okay, Aaron, or Edward Lewis, or SEO Inc, or whatever your calling yourself today, let's play. Traffic-power has never gotten a site banned from google, yahoo, or any other search engine. Grow some balls and post the url of any site that you can prove was banned because of traffic-power. Since you're the "foremost expert" on SEO, maybe you can explain why you re-sell google ad words. I'd also like you to explain why we have over 10,000 happy clients. The truth, Edward, is that we know how you realy do business, and who you realy are. There is no easier sale than one of your old customers. I know that a chicken-shit like you won't post this, but don't worry, the word on you is out!

September 30, 2004 - 11:33pm

Frank,
"chicken-shit" -- this is the language the people supporting 1P / Traffic Power are using.

I leave the comments open for a while in case something useful comes up. If "chicken-shit" is the best stuff people supporting 1P / Traffic Power have to offer you really need to question the maturity and/or intellectual capacity of those people supporting 1P / Traffic Power.

I just received a cold call from 1p.com, and it's also funny that this was the first page that came up since I also purchaed this e-book.

They told me that they have 15,000 clients, so maybe they lost 3k clients in the last couple of months.

Anyway, say what you want about them, they have their cold calling down pact and that is admirable.

However, they are obviously a ripoff when it comes to SEO. Some with trafficlogic.com. I would avoid this company.

I tried to get the specifics and an example "content site" of the keywords they created, and he first tried to qualify me asking if I could afford the 3k. I said yes, but that I'm not interested because I do it myself, and he hung up.

Frank, sometimes we have to be honest with each other. You are not doing yourself any favours with the cheap jibes. It's up to you how you play the game but be aware how others may view your statements.

It may just be me, but to be totally honest, it looks like you are a bunch of coked up "entrepreneurs" trying to milk the www for as much as you can. Good luck to you but trust me, make sure it's a short term plan, you don't have the mojo for the long term.

Eddie,
"assholes" -- can you say pot, kettle, black? You didn't respond to anything else I said. You started this game, show me what you got.

October 1, 2004 - 12:14am

"assholes" -- you speak for yourself there Frank.

You call me Edward for no reason, why?

"Grow some balls and post the url of any site that you can prove was banned because of traffic-power." <--- visit trafficpowersucks.com ... or just look at those people who were on your client list when Google banned them for your mouseover technique.

perhaps www.thelogocreator.com would be a good example. just read http://www.seo-guy.com/forum/thread1430.html

Frank, if your memory is so short term that you can't even remember the sites you got banned just a few months ago then likely it is time to retire?
IMHO

"Grow some balls and post the url of any site that you can prove was banned because of traffic-power."

of course this is low hanging fruit, but trafficpower.com traffic-power.com et al.

Frank, it may be that 1P / Traffic Power is the best thing since sliced bread, I don't think they are. It may be that you work for 1P / Traffic Power, I think you may. It may also be the case that 1P / Traffic Power could really help web site owners, I don't think they could.

That is all my opinion.

What is evident though is your seeming obsession with balls and assholes, nothing wrong with that at all, but this is SEO not biology 101.

I would be thinking what career to move on to next, this Internet stuff don't suit you.

October 1, 2004 - 12:26am

Your a funny, funny little man. You know exactly why I call you Edward.

I'll make a deal with you. It's very easy to prove that a site has been banned from google. Google tells you on their results page. Try searching "kazaa lite" and you'll see what I mean. Show me one keyword where we've gotten a site banned.

October 1, 2004 - 12:37am

Hi Frank
"Your a funny, funny little man."
You are not funny and it seems you are losing course of your messages or self control. One would think that an SEO who couldn't engage in civil conversation would not be good at analytical stuff like SEO. If you are representing Traffic Power or 1P then you should take the shovel out of your hands. If traffic power or 1P is paying you for what you are doing then they have no business sense.

"You know exactly why I call you Edward."
I have no clue. Perhaps because Traffic-Power is also trafficpower is also 1P you assume other people need secret aliases to run their businesses through? my name is on many pages of my sites...its no secret that I am Aaron Wall. I own a bunch of sites, and on all of them it is not too hard to find out who I am.

Who are you Frank? Are you from traffic power? 1P? traffic power and 1P?

If you work for 1P / traffic power I would expect you to be able to identify banned sites...it should be like identifying a family member.

Well strange that you post right after I talked to you, your supervisor and human resources who provided me with the name for your agent for service of process.

October 1, 2004 - 11:31pm

Frankie,
Here is the question then...why were you signing your name to their site? ...remember how I delinked your earlier post linking to Traffic Power? Why not link to your own site? Or are you a reseller that does not have a site and makes a living cold calling people?

Frank
October 1, 2004 - 11:55pm

Who's my supervisor (other than my wife), and what link are you talking about?

October 2, 2004 - 12:03am

"Who's my supervisor (other than my wife)"

Apparently nobody. Just noting your attachment to a company you do not work for seems A BIT STRONG based on how frequently you visit this page.

"and what link are you talking about?"

the one you originally signed your name to above, where I delinked your name and wrote the following

>i think it is funny that you guys talk so much crap

yeah...I have been on the receiving end of a Traffic Power / 1P.com cold call myself. Its weird that they are so nasty over the phone.

>am i to be convinced you guys are the best

nope, you should research. if you find lots of negative stuff about us like you do traffic power / 1p I would recommend avoiding us like the bubonic plague

>after trashing 1p

it would be hard to trash 1p.com / Traffic Power any more than they do to themselves over the phone.

>is that how you get business?

with as many people as traffic power / 1p.com cold call it would be an easy way to get clients. their nasty SEO services and cold calls are probably a solid lead generator for many SEOs.

>iam just curious to find out what the point to your forum is?

read through my blog if you like. this is not really a forum at all. Is your comment just another type of traffic power spam?

This is great stuff, thankyou sooo much Frank ;-)

I dont think i've ever seen such an inept, juvenile attempt at retort. You must be what? 17-20yrs? - NP there my friend, everyone goes thru those teenage years.

Do you still giggle everytime somebody says "sex"? - from your language and clear inability to communicate i'd guess you do.

Sometime later today i'll post about this page on my site, it's a classic. The intellectual equivelant of a potatoe dukes it out with what he'd love to consider his peers, beautiful ;-)

October 7, 2004 - 8:10am

Incidentally, for those who are keeping score and think Frank is not a liar...

I looked up his IP address he is posting from and it resolves to Las Vegas...which oddly enough, is where 1P/ Traffic Power is from.

October 7, 2004 - 10:30am

Send it to me Aaron (or post it) let me do some stealth magic on it and see what we can see ;-)

Nick

October 7, 2004 - 11:42am

>Send it to me Aaron

I am not sure that is right to do Nick. Even 1P / Traffic Power have some privacy rights (even if they don't mind cold calling YOU or ME at 430 AM). I don't want to do anything which may make me feel or make other people think I am stooping to the level of a company like 1P / Traffic Power.

October 7, 2004 - 6:26pm

Frankie said: "It's funny how scared of us you are"

Where 'us' could only refer to Trafic Power / 1p, then later 'Frankie' backtracks and claims to be merely a reseller...

This guy really isn't very bright is he?

Well for one, Aaron Wall isn't a spolied brat. He was a honor roll student who graduated early from high school and enrolled in the united states navy at the age of 17. He served on a American attck submarine as a nuclear reactor operator. He may have had a other than honorable discharge, but the achievements he has in his life fr out weighs any screw ups. And after leaving the navy, he worked a full time job while learning SEO. I think AAron is more of a self made man unlike alot of these childish people leaving these obviously poorly thought out hate attacks. What can they say they have acheived in their lives?

Both time I got a call from 1p the conversation turned extremely nasty once I stated that I am not interested in their service. Leave alone all the forums, or the rumours (true or false) about getting sites banned - the nasty way in which they take NO speak enough to drive me away. That is no way to do business, I guess today things like ethics, honor, moral values or simple kindness come last after lust for money and power. 1p executives I hope you are not missing out on a good night sleep.

September 21, 2006 - 12:37pm

Its really short and memorable. IMO Also would be a great name for a Web hosting store. Definitely is a very nice new name Aaron.

These jerks at First Place 1p.com wont stop blowing up my telephone. I have a lot of domain names, and they go down the list with nonstop harassing phone calls. They also will not blacklist my number from their system. So every rep has called me, some are extremely rude. I hope this thread makes it #1 for a 1p.com query in Google so people can really see how terrible of a company first place really is. 1p.com sucks. First Place Sucks.

May 19, 2005 - 8:13pm

>I hope this thread makes it #1 for a 1p.com query in Google

feel free to link to it. you know what anchor text to use.

Currently it looks as though we are ranked in first place for 1p, but if you do the whole URL 1p.com Google will resolve to the 1p.com domain name.

May 20, 2005 - 9:02am

I have the same problem with 1p.com, those guys keep calling even I confront them they are violating the law by providing misleading advertisment. But when I called back to look for the sales manager, the operators just kept switching me back and forth. The sales reps were trained to answer questions and they were intentionly targeting small businesses. If everyone contacted by 1p.com or fallen victims with them call the Las vegas police, their fraud hotline is 702-229-3285. Police will only take action after receiving more than 5 calls.

September 10, 2004 - 5:47pm

1p - is that how much their service is worth?

September 10, 2004 - 5:48pm

fun, fun...oh the play on words.

it depends on your goals. perhaps it is worth a ton if you sign your competitors up to their service?

DK
June 1, 2005 - 2:02am

yep, i was a tech there until they screwed me outta pay, finally i realized i was helping them rip clients off, my conscience took over and i quit.

the attitude there is "Take their money" "fuck the client" "hurry and get the work done" thats why i dont work there anymore, they are crooks and cons. their service will NOT do a DAMN thing for your site, you might as well light $3000 on fire and watch it burn....you will get the same result with them.

i really don't understand why SEO company like traffic power like to sue others ? in the SEO world, each has their own way to do SEO, some use white hat, some use black hat ( at their own risk). But if a SEO company sue others because of the person voices his "opinion", ( especially in the blogs' comments) i think it is too far. No wonder Matt Cutts, as a profeesional blogger, FIRST TIME disclose google banned traffic-power.com in the google search result.

I have lived in Vegas for 3 years, and i know and have worked at Traffic-Power. It's a scam.

September 30, 2005 - 8:28pm

>webadvertisingpromotin.com is a seo company that is incorperated through traffic power

wonder why Joe would say that after cursing like that (or why anyone should trust him)... and why any company would use promotin in their name. sounds not so professional.

September 30, 2005 - 9:03pm

>However, they are obviously a ripoff when it comes to SEO. Some with trafficlogic.com. I would avoid this company.

I don't like the selling content clicks at PPC biz model as much as I like direct traffic from the engines, but I have chatted with some people with Traffic Logic, and they seemed way nicer than the treatment I have got from the people claiming to represent Traffic Power.

September 14, 2004 - 9:19pm

It's funny how scared of us you are. Anybody who does research on a company by reading forums is an idiot, and we don't want their business. By the way, SEO Consultants, what's your D&B rating?

[edited by Aaron: URL sig link removed to prevent my site for being penalized as spam for linking into it]

September 14, 2004 - 10:10pm

"By the way, SEO Consultants, what's your D&B rating?"

I think how many customer sites got banned is more important than a D&B rating, but I can not speak for SEO Consultants...I am just me.

"Anybody who does research on a company by reading forums is an idiot, and we don't want their business."

Thats right folks, if you visit any forum you are instantly stupid. I would rather take my information from assholes who cold called at 430am anyday. <--- what a joke

"It's funny how scared of us you are."

Scared of getting my site banned by linking into your sites.

Remember you called my phone to help me promote an extremely crummy site. If you would like I can post the URL of that aweful site so people can see just how bad you guys are and what type of people you try to take advantage of?

I regularly turn away customers with far better sites than the one you were offering to help me promote. You are the only SEO firm who has ever ever cold called me thusfar.

The ball is in your court.
