Using Co-branding to Overcome Barriers to Market Entry

If you are new to an oversaturated market or want to reach an audience that normally ignores you, the easiest way to do so is to co-brand something they DO care about. Want examples? How to optimize your WORDPRESS BLOG and seo for FIREFOX come to mind.

In many markets the top ranked site is determined by popular opinion OUTSIDE their niche market.

Can you give an example of "In many markets the top ranked site is determined by popular opinion OUTSIDE their niche market."

I can imagine it being true, but I'm having trouble applying it to me. I'm thinking of starting a toy store focused on a product niche that I like and think I can get targeted traffic to cost-effectively. As I try to apply what you're saying to my potential venture, how would I figure out who sets the market?

The toy manufacturer?
The broadcaster of the TV show?
Someone else?

I realize I might be missing the point of your post entirely and I may have a bad example... I figured I'd ask.

The alimentation sector may also be a good possibility for you Greg.

What about real-estate in Spain. It is probably the most difficult market here. I though, may be with travel companies, but I am not sure.
