Aaron, why would I pony up $3-4k to hear you guys talk about marketing? You all talk but have no solid business ventures where you've put your experience into action, and no, ReviewMe does NOT count.

Hi James
The difference between you and I is that I am very public and open about many things. You have an anonymous email and leverage that to criticise other things. I stand behind what I do.

I guess what makes me feel comfortable is that

  • I created SEO Book as a real brand from scratch
  • I have other sites that would pay my living expenses entirely even if this site did not exist. And even if the most important ones died off, this site didn't exist, AND I did no consulting work I would still be debt free, able to pay all my living costs, and able to invest into growing the remaining revenue streams and creating new ones.
  • I have done SEO for some of the top brands online
  • ALL attendees of the first Elite Retreat were happy with the conference
  • I have enough market attention to attract comment trolls

I also would not count out ReviewMe so quickly. Remember that I have equity in ReviewMe, and how successful this site is. When I start marketing ReviewMe more aggressively you will know. You may still discount it (and everything else I do) but luckily I do not need YOUR approval to be successful. :)

Hey Aaron,

Having a secured page on the order form would be a big help ... can't input the AMEX without it. :-)

Aaron, what's with all the trolls lately?

James it looks to me like the people speaking at the retreat have done pretty well for themselves primarily through marketing. I would think they could all charge more to speak for a few hours in front of a variety of audiences.

I'd be happy to learn from each and all.

I see that Chicago is on the slate for July, which coincides with my plans to hit up my hometown. I'm gotta start puttin away some moneys.

Hi Aaron,

Just wondering how the demand is. I am waiting for approval form my boss and do not want to miss this.

Thanks.

Gary,

The demand is quite a bit higher than round 1 obviously. We have received quite a few applications the first 3-4 days, so the demand is high.
