Too Much To Do...

So I need to rewrite my ebook and finish writing another website this weekend and throughout next week.

When I started this site I never imagined that it would get as much traffic as it does. When I first wrote my ebook I never imagined customers would buy as many of them as they have. When I placed the consulting button ad on my site I never imagined that I would average over 1 a day. But recently I have been wrong many times over ;)
Thanks for helping to make me so wrong. :)

I put a notice up at the top of the consulting page that I can not do any more consultations until October. If you already paid, or I have already worked with you, I can squeeze you in, but I can't take on any more new clients and still be able to do all of the other things I want to. There are only 7 work days in the week!

Plus I need to make sure my book is as good as I can make it. I don't want to do so much stuff that I am stuck putting out bad product. If I do not post much for the next few days it is because I am trying to catch up with non-blog stuff.

Aaron

Bought the ebook a week ago - imho, the book is too overwhelming for a beginner like me. I gave up. So if you are re doing the book, please think of us beginners.

Was wondering when the book was going to be updated. Need some new offline reading material (and no worries about lack of blog posts for the next couple of weeks, you made up for it today... lol - everytime I loaded my RSS reader, there was another post or 2 from SEOBook).

Looking forward to the update.

It looks like you should raise your consulting prices again (c:

Regardless (or irregardless as you like to say), congrats on the success.

Hi Aaron,

On Fraser's comment above...maybe just a mention of other resources for those new to a given area (i.e chapter/topic) your book covers would do for the newbies.

After all, I'm sure lots of people (like me) who love reading your work and advice would cringe at the thought of your seobook being "dummed down" for lack of a better term. Keep up the great work, Aaron -- and take great care of yourself!

It sounds like you're drowning a bit in your own success. I'm sure you've got lots of passive income streams coming in, that allow you to walk away and still earn money, but with the great demand that you're creating for yourself, hiring staff to help you makes sense.

Don't work harder, work smarter.

I agree with Michael, lol.

Congrats on the rolling successes... hope it is contagious!

Perhaps it is time for an SEO Book Jr. In many ways, there may be a need for two versions, one for the newbie, and one for the more seasoned user. Trying to both in one book might become too much to manage, or too much rehash for the seasoned user to dig through each time.

A starter book could focus on very basic foundation elements, which will probably require less updating and maintenance, and could either be something given for free which may lead to increased sales of SEO Book, or at a much lower price point, which might lead to increased sales of SEO Book as well as another income generator in itself.

I'm thinking about buying your book, but if your rewriting it I may hold off. Any package deals on the new book if I buy the old one now??? -cheers

I'm sure all updates of any version of the book you buy will be absolutely free. I wouldn't be worried about buying now (actually it might be in your best interest to buy now) as some old school information might be left out in the new version

I've had Aaron's book for about 2 months and I'm definately a beginner. I found the book for themost part easy to read, so please don't dumb it down!
