Not content with attempts at trying to rid the web of spam, Matt Cutts has been posting about how to get a free credit report and how to stop junk mail. I thought his post was interesting as it obviously doesn't apply to all of his audience (his tips being focused on the American market).

Cutts' usually tries to do posts that will help everyone but this time he simply didn't have that option, I don't quite get why he would do this at all though, it's not like there is Google or Matt Cutts mail delivery.

Yet.

his blog is so authoritative - he ranks for everything.

Including: "how to stop junk mail". It's like he's doing some public service with these posts.

I don't get it... why would anyone care what he thinks about credit reports.. it looks like he is selling something.
