MSN AdCenter Live to All
Via WMW comes news that MSN has completely dumped Yahoo! as a PPC provider and anyone can now sign up for Microsoft AdCenter.
MSN has little traffic compared to Google or Yahoo!, but has more controls than other top PPC providers. While their service is new their traffic should be cheaper than buying similar traffic from Yahoo! or Google.

We set up a campaign yesterday but it is generating no impressions at all. Something is wrong. The set up process went smoothly. There were no error messages. It is impossible to get any live help. Any suggestions? Where can I call for live help?
It can take a few days for your campaign to go live Alan, especially for a new account.
I was excited about trying MSN Adcenter... until I tried it. I can't even get through the process of starting a campaign without some crazy errors where it sends me into endless loops. I've been trying all night on MSN (using IE). Hope it's just temporary...
Yeah -- and it appears to be broken. Just tried to sign up and when we went to select country code, it just broke. So it means we weren't able to enter our credit card in and get started.
You would think they could get that straight for a product launch?
What browser are you using Michael?
If it is not IE that might be part of the problem.
I actually think it was IE believe it or not. My boss was trying it on his computer and I don't think he uses firefox. We had to cancel out of it altogether because it couldn't load the country pop-up box, some sort of asp error.
I'll see what it does on my home computer.
Verified that the problem is not just IE -- used genuine internet explorer and it still had a problem.

Surely there's legit logic behind blocking FireFox and requiring me to login with Internet Explorer...but that is a major inconvenience. I just lost 50% of my interest in the program.
I keep gettign errors when using IE 6, I think this is the main reason I am using firefox. Ive managed to setup a few campaigns (which took forever). Hardly any traffic so I feel like ive wasted my time anyway.
I can understand the logic behind MS forcing people to use their browser instead of Firefox - but can anybody see the logic behind Yahoo's inability to run certain tools in FF and requiring IE?
Why are the Google toolbar buttons for IE only when they are willing to give Firefox Google homepage ads?
on the MSN Adcenter community call yesterday they specifically noted they do not support Firefox (or IE7). The topic was raised during Q/A, and they politely danced around the subject, noting that getting the product out was more important than supporting all browser platforms.
I can understand that. The real issue to me is long term, will they support firefox or not. I think it would be a bush league move to not support it. Search marketers are a finicky bunch, why not make the firefox users happy and avoid giving them reason to rebel against "the man".
