The roots of my search engine optimization and conversion business date back to 1995 when I got involved in the worldwide web at the International University of Japan during my university days. However, I had started my love of all things computers back in 1989 by taking a short course on computers and Artificial Intelligence in Islamabad, Pakistan.
As time went on, I started playing with MS DOS, Fox Pro before getting admission to the university in Japan. There, I developed a keen interest in FrontPage (the very first version) playing with HTML, Frontpage and Photoshop during the first half of 1996 to make my first ever website by using raw HTML and Front Page.
During those ancient days of Internet, we would talk among friends about hits and the number of visitors/repeat visitors but not in detail. We would also submit our sites to various search engines to getting higher rankings. And, believe it or not, it was fairly simple to get to the top with say, Altavista, Lycos, Infoseek etc. back then. I also actively became involved in the site submission issues with various search engines of the time and started piling up my knowledge of site ranking, web analytics and e-marketing issues at that time.
In 2001, while working with Isle Inc. a web hosting company and now a subsidiary of Global Media Online, Japan I successfully negotiated a business deal with the then famous web analytics firm, Urchin, now known as Google Analytics. A familiar name?
In 2005, after leaving my previous employer in Tokyo, I started my own small SEO and web design companyHitech Solutions Inc. in Tokyo which has served clients big and small all over Japan.
