Yahoo! Content Acquision Program

There has been a rather active conversation going around the web about the new Yahoo! Content Acquisition Program. Most people are not looking at the topic through the eyes of Yahoo! though.

Yahoo! knows that they are not going to be able to build a better mathematical based search engine than Google can. Yahoo! has no hope competing head to head fighting Google at its strengths.

Yahoo! believes through creating an editorial reviewed hybrid search they will be able to raise their relevancy. Yahoo!'s new Site Match program is just one more way to raise income to pay for the large editorial job at hand. My longer and more boring review of the Yahoo! Content Acquisition Program.
